Mono Juicing; What is it? And Why You Will Love It!

November 15, 2018

Whether you are brand new to juicing or a juicing pro, working some one-ingredient mono juices into your regimen comes with some great benefits. What is mono juicing? Mono juicing simply means you are using one vegetable or fruit to make your juice. In return, you get a beautifully pure juice at a very high concentration.

Mono juicing is very easy (Check out my videos at the bottom of this page!) There are no combinations of food, so you can juice without putting together multiple ingredients. That means less shopping time and more juicing time!

We don't do things because they are easy, we do things because they are good for us but being easy is definitely a great bonus reason for mono juicing!

When you juice just one fruit or vegetable it is a great way to get to know how each variety can affect and benefit your own body type.  Whenever you start off mono juicing, I recommend starting with 6 to 8 ounces. See how you feel before and how the juice impacts you before increasing the amount.

The time of day you drink your mono juice is up to you. You can mono juice exclusively throughout the day, in between meals, or first thing in the morning.

I like mono juicing in the morning.  It starts my day with a clean and cleansing feeling to my body and to my mind.  By starting the day with a homemade, non-processed juice, you are more apt to choose healthier options throughout your day.

When you choose to juice exclusively throughout the day, you are giving your body a break from processing food, so that it can use the energy to heal your body.  You will be surprised how you don’t feel hungry. If you commit to a day of juice, you will feel cleaner, clearer in the mind, and a bit calmer. Some people love the feeling so much, they extend the juicing for days, weeks, even months. Some people call this “juice feasting”, giving your mind and body a solid food vacation. If you do decide to extend your juicing, make sure and consult with your doctor.

I love juicing!  And I love adding my greens, beets, apples, ginger, turmeric and so many other great veggies.  But, mono juicing is a simple way to start juicing, without being too overwhelmed with too many ingredients.

If you are new to juicing or have been juicing for years, I recommend Mono Juicing once a week, to balance out your digestive system.
